This robe is made from soft, rich velvet and edged with fine-quality Indian brocade. It is made by a tailor in Danba, an age-old Gyarong Tibetan valley community on the banks of the Dardo River in the Garze Autonomous Tibetan Prefecture of western Sichuan, China.
