This bag was made by a twenty-nine year old nun named Gesang from the Tibetan town of Drango, in the Garze Autonomous Tibetan Prefecture in western Sichuan province, China. It is made of strong and durable brocade and cut in the style of the traditional Tibetan monk shoulder bag.
